- Tales of a quarantine -

With a soft touch
they would tell me things will be alright.
Skin to skin our thoughts transmuted.

Our hands are under gloves now. The idea of a naked contact with strangers is long gone. A prolonged touch, such as the one that comes with condolence,
is a memory that hurts.

Without my family, in a far away land, I seek for an honest hand.
I feel more alone than ever before.

Because even if I get to experience that naked handshake, it doesn’t come alone; it comes with fear, with a strong voice in my head saying: ‘I shouldn’t be doing this’
